This course will provide theoretical concepts, empirical research results and applied knowledge about the role of workplaces for workers’ mental health and mental well-being. We will discuss how conditions at the workplace, alone and in interaction with factors outside work, may impact, both positively and negatively, workers’ mental health and mental well-being. We will also discuss what workplaces can do to protect and improve workers’ mental health and mental well-being and how workplaces can address the needs of workers with reduced mental well-being and with prevalent mental disorders.
